Psalms 37:23-24

"If the Lord delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumbles, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand."

These words have been very encouraging for this time in my life. Knowing that if I trust the Lord and do all I can to walk in his ways (and even when i fall short) that he will lead and uphold me. Being able to rest in him knowing that if I trust him to lead he will take me where he wants me and where I am supposed to be gives me peace in knowing my life will be used for a purpose. I think one of my greatest fears is that I will waste my life and it will count for nothing. And it is very difficult to ignore the call of the comfortable middle class lifestyle that I am so accustomed to, but life is not about comfort, and it isn't about stuff. God calls us to live for a purpose and to follow hard after him. He wants us to have life to the fullest (John 10:10). If you call Jesus Lord, it means that you have agreed that He should be in control of your life, and the only way to have life to the fullest is to give up control and say yes to what ever God calls you to do.
